紧凑、丛状落叶灌木。春季开黄绿色花，之后出现略带粉色的、半透明的下垂串状果实。果实7月成熟，叶片3-5裂，摩擦时散发香味。果实可直接食用，可做果酱、果胶和馅饼。

It is a compact, mounding, deciduous shrub. Clusters of greenish-yellow flowers bloom in spring, then give way to long, pendant clusters of translucent currants with a pink blush (color is not white). Fruit ripens in July. Medium green leaves are 3-5 lobed, and are aromatic when crushed. Fruit may be eaten ripe off the shrub or harvested to make jams, jellies and pies.
